Domain name scammers find new way for domain owner tricking: they calling to domain`s owners warning them that another company is trying to register all the alternative TLDs for domain, already registered.
And after all offered to secure all the similar domains before it was too late for a small fee of 500-1200$/year.

Domain auction from Go Daddy
The Go Daddy is planning an auction in November to put some premium domain names like bob.com up for bid. Experts say some if popular domains could be sold for millions of dollars.
The list of domain names up for auction will be available October 24.
.Asia domains started
The new .asia domain registry opens for business 2007/10/09.
The .asia domain registry is being run by a Hong Kong-based not-for-profit registry.
ICANN testing non ASCII Domain Names
ICANN wants every Internet user to help in testing Internationalized (non ASCII) Domain Names as part of an evaluation program being launched on October 15, 2007.
Starting October 15, 2007, special pages will become reachable using the domain name example.test in any of the 11 test languages.
